What a list actually costs
The full carrier report is billed per number looked up, so the cost scales exactly with your list size. There is no platform fee and no tier to outgrow.

Basic validation — valid/invalid, country, and line type — stays free for the first 1,000 records of every upload. You only pay when you want carrier-level detail.
When the free tier is enough
If all you need is to strip landlines and dead numbers out of a list before an SMS send, the free tier answers that. It tells you whether each number is real and whether it is mobile, landline, or VOIP — which is the whole decision for most list-cleaning jobs.
The paid report matters when you need to know which carrier a number belongs to: for TCPA-aware call routing, for deliverability troubleshooting, for identifying which VOIP provider issued a number, or for checking whether a number has been ported between carriers.
How payment works
Upload your file first. PhoneCheckr validates it and shows you exactly how many numbers it found, so you see the price before you pay anything. Payment is a single Stripe charge for that upload — there is no stored subscription and nothing to cancel later.

What PhoneCheckr does not do
